Wine Kitz is proud to introduce 2 exciting new wines in our Traditional Vintage 10L, 5-week lineup. Available previously as limited releases, the demand to offer these wines on a permanent basis has been overwhelming.
These new red wines include our WK Crushed Grape Pack to create a tue “on the skins” fermentation experience, the same process as commercial wineries use when producing their premium red wines.
By fermenting your wine with the WK Crushed Grape Pack, you will experience bolder bouquet and flavour characteristics, deeper colour, fuller body and firmer tannins than ever before!
TEMPRANILLO – Spain
This dark, thick-skinned grape produces a deep coloured, full-bodied red wine with good structure and moderate acidity. The bouquet and flavours reflect cherry, plum, strawberry, spice and tobacco, with some earthy tones.
Serve with grilled red meats, herbed lamb chops, lamb casserole, eggplant, braised beef short-ribs, meat pies, meatloaf or steak & kidney pie.
PRIMITIVO – Italy
This is a fruit-driven, full-bodied red wine with aromas and flavours of blue plum, blackberry and cherry with subtle notes of oak and spice. While the smooth, rich mouth-feel allows for early consumption, this wine will also age nicely.
Enjoy with saucy barbecued ribs, gourmet burgers topped with sautéed mushrooms or grilled red peppers, beef stews, meat lover’s pizza or rigatoni in a tomato sauce with spicy sausage and arugula.
*Each batch makes 30 – 750ml bottles of wine. A winery fee of $50.00 per batch applies to all wines made in store. Fee includes wine preparation, testing, processing, filtering, corks, shrink tops, and labels.
